Catalogue Raisonné

E. Thorbjorn produced many, many paintings.  These pictures regularly appear at auction and in art shops.  This page is the beginning of a collection of pictures of his works that I have found from any source.  I will assign a unique number to each picture I post.  Measurements are in inches.

    My wife and I purchased this painting in Arhus, Denmark in a "used painting shop" in 1993. We had just moved from Kotzebue, Alaska south to Fairbanks, Alaska, and missed the Arctic light over the water. This painting held (and still holds for us) the memory of that light.

    It is on canvas, approximate size 26x37 inches. There are no markings on the back of the canvas. We removed the painting from the stretcher bars to ship it back to the US, then had it re stretched and framed in the US. We had never seen any other paintings by this artist when we purchased it.
